Comment by Robert Lanktree on February 10, 2020 at 7:48am: The bells and treats was a blast, black and white seems pretty focused, tabby was a bit of a character, liked him/her. There were some subtle but great little mannerisms going on there, esp with tabby….enjoyed that.

Comment by Joan Denoo on February 9, 2020 at 12:22am: We trained lab rats to push buttons, limb ladders, ride merry-go-rounds, and go down slides using little food pellets in Psych Lab 101, based on Skinner’s work. We were also able to train fish, octopuses, and birds. Just about any creature with a brain can be trained using reward and punishment techniques.

The second half of the experiment was to extinguish the learned behavior; simply remove the reward when the learned task was performed.

I think anyone contemplating having children or getting married should learn Skinner’s technique of learned behavior.
