Does the person giving care for the very young, the elderly, and the infirm perform labor” How about those who gather and manage our trash, do they labor, or do cleaning people? Engel on December 30, 2019 at 8:27pm: I saw part of the CNN special on Linda Ronstadt today, (Dec 30,2019), and she said that when Trump was elected, America was at the point where Germany was before Hitler came to power. She said that when Trump got elected, she told her family that the Jews were going to face some bad times in America. At least, that is what I understood her to say. She hit it pretty close considering the happenings this weekend.

I’m observing the decay and the moral failures squarely in the once-great Republican Party, which sold its soul for the Southern Strategy and became the party of “I’ve got mine, screw you.”

The erstwhile party of Lincoln has become the party of John Wilkes Booth. (Confirmed by candidate Donald Trump “joking” about “Second Amendment” solutions to HRC nominating judges.)

Over and over again in recent decades, the Republican Party has been firmly against life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for anyone who’s not a fetus and whose last name isn’t Inc.

(One example that came to mind immediately: Republican crime and corruption? No problem! Deflect! Distract! Incite murder!)
