Well, then that means that they don't really believe in the saving grace of Jesus Christ. That just shifts the doubt from one part of their faith, to an even MORE important part of their faith. Thanks. Furthermore, I don't really buy the whole "fear of hell" argument, because when a believer's infant dies, the parents suffer severe grief, yet I've never met a bereaved parent who thought that God sent their baby to hell.
