Richard Dawkins is holding back SOOOOO hard. Like a fox and a baby chicken. Watching the interviewer just makes me feel absolutely embarassed because I remember making those same defenses, particularly for the vulgar idea of sacrificing one person for the crimes of another, and not being able to see, being absolutely unable to comprehend how positively barbaric the whole thing was. Perhaps if he'd said 'an eye for an eye' instead of 'a life for a life'. Even though it is the same concept, EVERYONE knows an eye for an eye is a terrible way to carry out justice and it emphasizes vengeance, whereas saying a life for a life emphasizes sacrifice.

I, for example, download ("grab") videos with RealPlayer, which I'm doing with this vid in case it gets DMCA'd again.

A re-upload of the interview as it has now re-appeared on Youtube.

Interesting comments are now moderated, so you can't leave a note saying what a total moron the interviewer is.

But no such restrictions apply here.
