Well put, Frank, and if, somehow, a crescent could be designed as an efficient, load-bearing member of a large structure, they might have found such a thing.

As to the excuse of the "cross" being in a museum, let us note for the record: it is a museum to a tragedy, fomented by Religious Zealots, who not only killed christians, but jews, mormons, atheists, and yes, muslims as well.  If one gets recognition, all should get recognition.  That cross no more belonged there than a star of David or a crescent.
