The Philippines government has passed a bill to fund contraceptives and family planning programs despite strong opposition from the Catholic Church. The legislature has been considering various versions of the law for almost two deaces due to criticism from the dominant Church. But this time, President Aquino demanded action and insisted the lawmakers put it to a vote. Al Jazeera's Marga Ortigas reports from Manila.
