Hell, marriage was not even a "sacrament" until sometime in the 11-12th century. Dips@*t. Noboby will force a church to marry anybody religiously. But, and I repeat myself, once again, marriage is a civil contract. You must have a license from the government, or the church can't legally marry you. So this makes it a totally secular matter, religion needs to stay out of it! If somebody asks for a religious marriage, their right. Have at, and all that jazz. Just stay outta my marriage. We will handle things as we see fit, and I will give you the same courtesy.
[sigh] I don't even have to watch this video to see where this dip is going. No one and I mean NO ONE is looking to desecrate his church or any other ... but the CIVIL RIGHT to marry should in no ways be restricted on the basis or sexual orientation or preference.
In this day and age, marriage should be just that: a civil right. The religious component is OPTIONAL, but the legal rights entailed in it should be available to any adult couple interested in availing themselves of it.
