Getting a straight answer to that question requires that the theist admit that their belief is faith based and without sufficient justification, and therefore have no proof to offer. Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity. A myriad of logical fallacies is almost always their retort.
Using reason and logic with the irrational is often a futile task. Many of them simply have to be ridiculed, usually by turning their own flawed logic against them by arguing for the existence of other types of fictional creatures or beings like leprechauns in place of god and Captain Hook's brig in place of hell.
