Something else to think about...despite social freedoms or lack there of, expression to personal belief or thought has tumbled through time in the human experience within the minds of those who came before us. Our physiological needs of food, shelter etc. is the fabric of our survival.

When social opinion of acceptable freedoms for material use is compared to freedoms of human social expression how does the law apply its logic? For example, the present debate of gun control would be material and homosexual marriage is human. Both examples are social issues.
