From the Warner Bros. Cartoon, "Histeria!"

"After this episode's initial airing, Warner Bros. received complaints from the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, claiming that the Spanish Inquisition game show sketch at the beginning, "Convert or Die!", was teaching children to reject Catholicism. Because of this, in reruns, that sketch was replaced with a newly-made one in which the kids think General Custer is running a custard stand, but restored when the episode was featured on In2TV. "

I remember this episode! I'm not sure who loved Animaniacs better, my kids or me!

I'm surprised the Catholic League would object:

"the idea of bringing it [The Spanish Inquisition] back is awfully tempting" - William Donohue, in an April 22, 2005 Catholic League press release.

The Catholic League was right. After I saw this cartoon as a kid I began to question my catholic upbringing. Who would have guessed Warner Bros. cartoons were creating young atheists. =)
