Honestly, I don't give a ripe dump what Mr. Hedges thinks of atheists.  Sadly, he sounds way too much like other denialists, who can't conceive of a group or phenomenon external to his own experience, and so he attempts to quantify it in terms of that experience.

No grade, Chris - go back and try again, and a bit HARDER this time.
