Jessica Renee: does any one know where the information for the original video is like if it was posted on a web site?

I know this really cool site called Google...

It may have been viral marketing.

[Someone just about blogged this]

Ms. Murphy (the "expert" in the vid) looks like she's trying to fast track herself as the next conservapundit pinup girl, a la Malkin and Coulter, through shameless self promotion.

On Easter (yes, Easter), Ms. Murphy took advantage of Fox News airtime to predict "riots in the streets" of Durham if the replacement prosecutors drop the remaining charges against the Duke Three.

A former NFL cheerleader, Wendy has also written three childrens' books. She lives outside Boston with her husband and five children.

Her "attorney" status seems clouded -

Murphy purports to be an attorney (echoing the Murphy logic, I say “purports” because she has never publicly posted her law license on her adjunct faculty website. To quote Murphy, “Why?”)

Murphy’s bizarre claims to USA Today prompted me to perform a Lexis/Nexis search of her myriad case-related appearances. The results were deeply disturbing. In addition to the outrageous quotes highlighted above, on at least 18 occasions over the past nine months, Murphy has made demonstrably untrue statements. She also has engaged in a pattern of wholly unfounded speculation and has routinely denigrated due process.

In fact, there is nothing flattering about Murphy anywhere that I can find. She's just another fear-and-loathing ethical prostitute.

When Jerry Falwell held a "Moral Majority" rally on the Idaho statehouse steps in 1981, the parents had no problems sending their young children up to me to tell me that I was going to hell.

O'Reilly is an idiot and continues to demonstrate it on a nearly daily basis.

So compelling kids to stand up in church and recite biblical verses or act stories from the Bible though they really don't understand what they're talking about is not a form of religious propaganda? I remember seeing the "Little Girl" on YouTube a while back and I wasn't too impressed because I wasn't sure how genuine presentation was. But this is typical O'Reilly "journalism." I can't stand listening to more than 30 seconds of whatever that man has to say. He really should be boycotted at all costs.

so wait... A little girl (a very smart one, btw) telling the truth is "vile" now? C'mon Billo, I'd expect YOU of all people to know what vile is. Vile is accusing a dead woman of "asking for it" when she was brutally raped & murdered. Vile is basically stalking (across state lines, could be federal offense!) an innocent blogger for stating her opinions. YOU sir, are vile, and Fox News is irresponsible for allowing you to spout this harmful rhetoric on the air.

O'Reilly's job is to stir righteous indignation among the ignorant, and he does a great job at that. No problem pulling out an "expert" who'll say whatever you want. She probably got her license to do whatever she does from Walmart. Although I agree with everything the little girl says, I do feel a bit sorry for her, since it's unlikely that she had those thoughts on her own, and in fact I do disapprove of parents who put adult words in their kids' mouths even when I agree with the words. That being said, I completely agree with Gizmo. What the religious tell their kids to do and say is far worse in terms of abuse. I also resented the "expert's" implication that families with the beliefs being spouted by the little girl are not fit for human company. May they both rot!

Wow this pisses me off more than I thought it would. Is he serious?

"Im sorry little Susy, but if you don't believe in God and Jesus your going to go to Hell. Do you know what Hell is? Its a place where you are tortured. Forever. Remember how long you thought it was at the store yesterday for an hour? Thats an hour. Forever, is FOREVER. You will burn. And it will hurt so bad. All cause you don't believe. Pretty much you are already going there, so you better kiss Jesus ass or you will.." and so on. I bet Bill and Wendy thing thats ok and thats no child abuse. Threatning harm to a child. Or anyone for that matter.

The hypocrisy is showing so much on this its hard to imagine how Bill functions. Nevermind the fact that the religious tend to use kids all the time to push their BS. I had a Jehova's Witness show up at the house today, granddaughter (who was probably the same age as this girl) right behind her intently listening. WHich I hope she was, cause I asked a few questions that I hope got her thinking (I know the older lady I was talking to won't change her mind, but still).

This just amazes me that there isn't more outrage to this, but I guess with 80% of the US being Christian I should not be. Just irks me.
