"I think part of the problem may be that many pagans use Naturalist as well. They use it as a term to go along with their beliefs,as many pagans will describe their beliefs as not supernatural, but as part of nature itself. So maybe it…"

A great short explanation of why naturalism is a more explicative term and atheist and also why naturalism is hard work, but worth the effort ("Naturalists have a lot more work to do than simply rejecting God; they bear the responsibility of understanding how to live a meaningful life in a universe without built-in purpose. Hello J J, just responding to a comment you made on the Military Atheists page- the one that you addressed towards Active Duty Navy:
Yes. They still do the prayer at taps over the 1MC, at least they did as of August when I was last underway on my last ship. I once passed through the messdecks during a prayer and didn't stop and bow my head, and as a result got some really nasty looks from some sailors that were sitting there.
Also, something that may bring a smile: for a time, people will purposely call the chaplain's office phone and try to get their ring on the 1MC when the prayer was made- it was sometimes funny to hear. I almost always completely ignored the prayer.
