Hi Brad! I'm Kris - I host the Aussie/Kiwi group here on Nexus. I'm also the media and communications consultant for the forthcoming "Rise of Atheism" Global Atheist Convention to be held in Melbourne in March 2010. The Convention is being organized jointly by Atheist Alliance International and the Atheist Foundation of Australia.
I wonder if you could let your members know that tickets for the convention are now available online at the Convention website. We are expecting nearly 3,000 delegates, so this convention is going to be huge.
Confirmed speakers include: Richard Dawkins, AC Grayling, PZ Myers, Dan Barker, Peter Singer, Taslima Nasrin and many more.
Anything you can do to help us get the word out would be greatly appreciated.
I'm holding back on facebook as many coworkers and family member are on there, so I am alittle more open on Nexus, I've had one comment made to me about one of the chinese/buddaist books I was reading-- something about the antichrist based thoughts. I just laughed and said it was about the chinese culture I was interested in.
Brad Feaker: Late to this (glad I missed most if it). I thought I was safe from 'Troofer' nonsense here. Guess not...
Say, that's some bad ass slide guitar Brad!
The blog is archive till they succeed in knocking it down. If you know a little about law, and a little bit more you can hold the floor. But that one's done so read it. Happy x birthday. What the hell is a Troofer- someone spelonking for truth I hope?
Thanks, Chthulhu, for the compliment on the pictures. Every once in awhile one of Hemant's contests is really inspiring, and these were mostly ones I did for the misspelled motivational poster contest. Glad you liked them. You have some great ones too - as a fan of MYST I really like the CG landscapes.
