I went into settings and reset my page and now can leave u a comment. I am getting the hang of the new layout. but I like keeping things as simple for people as possible. Richard this site has meant so much to me I don't have words to express.

Hello! Yes, we should get together.  Let me know whenever you happen by Dallas/Ft Worth.  Are you planning to go to the American Athiests Convention in Austin at the end of the month?

Heads up, Richard - we have a pretty determined spammer on here - "browin"

http://www.atheistnexus.org/profile/browin?xg_source=activity

and his/her/its activity is all over the place, mostly on his status message and one or more blog posts.  Could we please give this dip the boot?

I have been a member of Atheist Nexus for about 2 years - great site. Thankyou for your efforts.

i) I am intersted in extending Atheism into other media channels in South Africa. We have real structural probelms here with Bishops councils etc. I would like to use Atheist Nexus as reference point :-  Philip Copeman, spokesperson for Atheist Nexus said "Blah Blah". If you google me or look though my posts you will see I have straight froward mainstream Atheist views (albeit more evangelistic than most), with clearly defined tolerance for secularism, see www.philipcopeman.net . Do you have a formal mechanism of allowing spokespersons?

ii) Have you used the Ning extensions? I have a great communtiy in www.turbocash.net  - 110 000 SME accounting users. Huge penetration in the Church market. I am interested in apps that mix accounting and social media. Any ideas? See also www.turbocash.ning.com

iii) I run similar sized communties to Nexus. I have used Joomla in the past but I am finding it increasing cumbersome. I want to swing my investment to Ning, but I am worried about how it stands up on volumes. You have 88000 how do you think it would be if I had 500 000 thousand members - see www.azania1.com

"think tank"...really? I can do that. What are we thinking about? Richard, what is your opinion of the National Atheist Party?

At 8:51pm on June 30, 2012, Loren Miller said…

Hi, Richard.

Saw your tweet regarding an Atheist Nexus think tank and am interested in participating.  I pride myself on being a pragmatic thinker (which is a fair portion of what finally got me with atheism), and I think I could bring that and my experience to the table.

Give a shout either way, and thanks for hearing me out.

Hey Richard, I hope you enjoy the Rally!  For those of us stuck in our own towns, please encourage people who you run into, or who you speak to, to "live blog" or post their experiences on Nexus!  That way we can be "almost there".  have fun and thanks!

Hello, thank you for creating this network. Great and needed. When I send a email from my iPod 4g, containing a pic to be a profile pic here on my atheist nexus page, it does not show up here, it's not received. I have tried changing the assigned email given by atheist nexus: none works. What can I do?

Please, REAL atheists, NEVER use the dirty word Christmas, because 25 dec. has NOTHING to do with "christ"/the jewish tricky(Mat.27:63) and "god" for stupides, because his birthday Is UNKNOWED !!! The decembre's days for celebrate are ONLY 21(the Solstitum) and 31(the New Year). And, also, don't foulmouthed yours mouthes with the expressions: shit!, Jesus!, Oh, my god!, because this is a sign of non-civilisation, of a dirty society. "USA is beautifull from outside, and dirty from inside", as muslims sayes. Brothers atheists, makes a normal society, with beautiful words.
