I notice from another comment on your wall that apparently you're State Director for American Atheists in Texas. I was a member of AA before for 10 years, until Madalyn told atheists like me to get out. That happened around the late 1980s or early 1990s, I can't really remember anymore. Did AA ever recover the library of books that Madalyn hid before her family was murdered, or the whole library had to be completely rebuilt from scratch?

The latest Economist compares Texas with California. Basically, giving Texas the "up and coming, vibrant new-America" and California as the "doddering, teetering toward destruction old-America". They also seem to think that Texas is headed toward blue-state status. Who knows... LBJ was form Texas, of course.

Maybe GWB gave your state a bad image.

When I was young and bright-eyed, army recruit, I spent a few of months in San Antonio. A far cry from Austin, I'm sure. But I truly loved it. First exposure of a corn-field farm boy to something different from 'home'.

Thanks for your friendship, but this place is pure ugly, from my perspective and many seem to be a tad dull. I mean, Geez... even theists really, really wanting to explore atheism and perhaps just at the final stages of getting here clearly ain't welcome at all - no way! Greeeeeaaaaat PR, Nexus!
