Most clear and concise definitions I've found for believer status:

Atheism – lack of belief in a god(s)
Theism – belief in an interacting god(s)
Deism – belief in a non-interacting god(s).
Gnostic – one who claims knowledge about a god(s)
Agnostic– one who doesn’t claim knowledge about a god(s)
