Hello all... Anyone in the North of Austin area want to get together for lunch or happy hour? Getting together somewhere centrally located to Leander, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Georgetown, Pflugerville or NE/NW Austin. Most folks I know live in South or Central Austin and that's where most gatherings are held. I don't know about you but I'd like to drive less than 25+ miles to hang out with cool folks... I know you are out there, so let's do this! Message me or post on my wall here or at www.facebook.com/citizenroe. Thanks!

I understand that. Heck, I'm right here in Dallas and I don't have time to attend meetings/events. I have been to some of the atheist meetups here, but stopped going because I just didn't connect with anyone.

Oh, there's quite a few of us in Tx. There is a Tx group here, but it seldom has any activity, so I left it, actually. I'm sure its easy to find atheists in Austin, no?

oh yes, one more thing to add. Your "Once Upon a Time" also reminded me of a wonderful quote by Annie Laurie Gaylor, of the Freedom From Religion Foundation. "Nothing Fails like Prayer"... have a great weekend !!

Just read your blog. The story of the naive little girl seems like a solid basis for a children's book. Maybe something to think about. You writing style is captivating in my view.

I was curious where Leander was and see you're near Austin. Are you familiar with The Atheist Experience (great podcast) or the Atheist Community of Austin? There may be more atheists around than you think.

Hi Liz, and welcome to this friendly meeting place where we freethinking atheists recognise that gods are phoney and religion is used to control people;
and how tragic and inexcusable it is that women and minorities have been oppressed these last two thousand years and more.

Terry Meaden
founder of the busy group "ORIGINS: Universe, Life, Earth, Humans, Religion, Evolution, Darwin..." with its 270 discussion topics. We invite you to join us.
