Hi Rosa - Jennie's post below inspired me to go have another look at debate with Becky - It's hilarious - variable has left and all his posts are gone - so at least a third of the discussion is gone lol.
It also turns out he is a Vlogger on Youtube *grin* I've posted a note describing the story for people like Jennie who read the tread & embedded a video variable posted after leaving the Nexus - go check out what I wrote and check out the video lol
I must commend you on your comments in the Convert The Women group. I appreciate your dedication to standing up for the right to be humorous. It seems Becky Garcia has a huge issue with anyone's right to be humorous.
I have found another discussion Becky has decided to lead in the Feminist Atheist group in which she states:
"I'll start. I think that, for me, feminism and atheism go hand in hand. Both words are frequently stigmatized, misunderstood, and sometimes just plain feared. Both concepts are about freedom, and being yourself."
Apparently what she must have meant to type was "Both concepts are about freedom and being myself" as she leaves no room for others to be themselves.
Again, Kudos for standing up for the rights of others to have a sense of humor!
oh, and thanks for the Anonymous invite. personally, i've read all the COS scriptures up to the OT levels, and should now die of leukaemia... at least, i've been waiting for about three and a half years now for that to happen... - L
*grin* Yeah, no big deal - but it is a great book :) It's pretty much remained in print since it was first published & was the first book I read that treated gay's as perfectly normal people. It is a beautiful piece of literature as well, Jane Rule was a great writer :) Read it if you ever get the chance - it's not a very long book, so easily read.
The movie is great to - as usual with film it's more an adaption, but still a beautiful story and very well done - it equally broke ground in American film by telling a lesbian love story :)
