Hey Katie,
I'm reading "Why Evolution is True". At this wrinting I am in chapter 5. One thing I like about Coyne's book is that he does compare how Evolution makes predictions about so many characterisitics of life on earth and that these can be verifired by observing what has and is going on. He contrasts this with creationsist theory which always comes back to "well, the creator made it that way 'cuz His ways are higher than man's ways" I want make a side-by-side list of what eveolution predicts and what creation science doesn't.

Ok Ms Blahblahblah, Do you have an Ipod?? Portable Atheist is available as an audio book. It makes for great listening. Its a wonderful collection of prominent thinkers writings put together by Chris Hitchens. Almost, a devotional for atheists!

Hi
You are right about religious nonsense.
Welcome to Atheist Nexus with its 9000 good friends and discussion groups.
Among the groups, may I suggest trying the busy group “ORIGINS: Universe, Life, Humans, Evolution, Religion.....” with its 130 commonsense discussions to repel religious nonsense. You will be welcome.
One discussion is "Proud to be Atheist" (74 posts) seeing that atheists and humanists hold the intellectual high ground compared with the pathetic superstitions of the god followers.
