Please consider joining a group to meet people and talk about anything that's on your mind, Hang With Friends. You might also like Parenting Little Heathens, Women Atheists, Female Atheists, and possibly Feminist Atheists. There are a few who discuss ideas about creating communities, such as at The Church of Atheism and Religion for Atheists but not much action. You might find a local HumanLight celebration in December. Celebrateis the group where that's discussed.

Try putting your location into the appropriate fields in Members>Advanced Search to find people nearby.

I also recommend Eco-Logical and Climate Concerns, since the climate is changing so drastically. Kansas is subject to a lot of drought and heat waves.

After you've searched for topics of interest in "Groups" above and in the "Forums", don't forget to look at recent activity which hides along the right margin of the page all the way at the bottom.
