"Write more yourself" - I'm not a postaholic, if I have nothing to say I say nothing. "I've broken no rule" - because it's hoped that people aren't dumb enough to need rules. "I'm not going to stop posting them here and I won't be bullied by you not to" - because you're either too self centered too care, or you just don't give a fuck about ettiquette. There are many film buffs here, as you say. All of them have enough respect to post things into the groups that are of the appropriate interest - without prompting. The frontpage is the public face to the world, where newcomers stumble in, a lot of them taking baby steps back to the real world. What do they find ? Fucking film reviews / free advertising for mainstream trash. Thanks. You make us proud.
Thank you for your concern, LaRae. I stay in NorthTexas and by the time the storm gets to us it will probably be just a breeze...Actually they evacuated people from N.O.to here. Hopefully they'll be able to return safe to their homes by the end of this week. Seen any movies worth watching lately? I saw "Mamma Mia" in Spain when I was visiting. I don't remember seeing anything that bad in a long time. Watching Brosnan sing (or trying to) was interesting, to put it some way. I enjoyed the soundtrack though, and I've bought the CD (although I'm never been an Abba fan).
Aberdeen is nice, yet cold! LOL! I'm actually moving to London in a couple of weeks though - just for a few months before going to France for about 6 - 8 months.
I went to LA when i was in California too, which i liked but i'm not sure if i would like to live there - i think i would love to live in San Diego. I know Cali is expensive, but i doubt it could even come close to how expensive London or Aberdeen are, LOL. They are the two most expensive cities in the UK, how typical that my destinations of choice are always the most expensive! lol.
The Princess bride huh? I haven't seen that yet, but would love to since i love princess stories! hee hee.
I saw this wonderful Pakistani film called 'Khuda ke liye' which means 'For he sake of god'. Of course it redefined Islam-- did not talk about atheism at all. But still-- coming from Pakistan-- it did a wonderful job in laying bare the ugliness of religious fanaticism
