Heh heh heh.  Yeah, I can't blame some atheists for staying in the closet, with the door locked, in some parts of the country and in some sorts of families.  It's hellish out there, for some of us, and we just can't be honest.  I just have the advantage of being in a liberal area, and my family is mostly composed of lax believers.

Not believing in an afterlife does not mean i am a "sad' person.

I work in healthcare in a long term care facility and I deal with death on a regular basis. About a year ago the opportunity arose for me to take a palliative care course through my work.  I enjoyed it for the most part.
