Been an atheist in a foxhole. Afghanistan in '02. Oddly enough, I married my chaplain's daughter. Still an atheist, but I occasionally attend church because I love to sing hymns.
I am from the south, Georgia to be exact and there is a church on every damn corner. I know it must be hard to live in the "bible belt" and be an atheist and your military men, I seriously commend ya'll for the coure of being wher you are...atheist in a religious military stuck in the damn bible belt

I am so proud to have you guys/girls to refer too. Although not ex-military (If they had asked I would have told LOL) I have been a student of military science since I was in the 3rd grade. And I knew how bogus it was that non-theist soldiers revert to theism when under the duress of battle. You folk are an excellent shield to the theist club of ignorance on the subject.
