Thanks for the welcome, Terry. I'll take a look at the link you recommend. I am particularly interested in consciousness, if you know of any sites for discussion of that I'd welcome your recommendation!
Thank you for your message. I hope I will be able to share worldviews and ideals without fear being scorned by theists, constantly criticizing rational thought because they know it will be the undoing of religion.
Hello Dr. Meaden, thanks for the welcome :) I'm really interested on the subject of origins of the universe, life, and human civilization as a whole, so I think I'll enjoy the group you suggested, thanks :) So I guess I'm the 4001st member ^_^
Thank you for the welcome, although, I have to ask....you called me Alex...just trying to figure that out. :) I'm Aaron, I assume it was just a small auto answer mistake? I am really looking forward to meeting people on this site. I have literally no friends that are atheist in this area of the bible belt.
Thank you for your warm hospitality. Philosophically, I'm a Marxist who's particularly interested in astro-physics and cosmology. The reason being that these fields are fondamental and are often polluted with religion, propaganda, ignorance and popular beliefs. Unfortunately, from my Internet research I see that Marxists don't get it and have false conceptions about such theories as the Big Bang, which is as scientific as the Missing Link in anthropology! I'm eager to start peeking around your website and chat to members. I've also read considerably about Eric Lerner's Plasma Cosmology Theories and his work on non-neutronic fusion reactors and Walter Thornhill's writing on the electric universe. Cheers!
