O, hai! I haven't been very communictive lately...with anyone. Been buried in Colleen McCullough's novels about the last years of the Roman Republic; I've read them several times, but I always find something that didn't sink in before now. They're fascinating. I don't like any of her other books, except the short novel, The Ladies ofMissalonghi...that's a treat! (I detest The Thorn Birds...I even hate the title.)
I do this from time to time, get so buried in a book, or series of books, that I neglect everything else...except cat care. (I even forget to eat, and have had three hypoglycemic attacks in the last 7 days. Stupid, stupid stupid. I also have to deal with seeing and hearing my 275 lb sister shoveling food into her face whenever she's not sleeping. An appetite-killer fer shurrrre.)
This week I have to start on my little job for The Pet Press; there aren't too many events to condense and write up....yet. But I will be involved in that, and not able to spend much time in AN or Cheezburger. Everything seems to come in at the last minute, but I'm trying to stay on top of it so that I don't end up spending 12 straight hours in this chair typing, typing, typing, and pulling out my hair at the same time. But it's something to do, and I feel like I'm helping the animals in my own small way.
Thanks for the notes...I do appreiate them all.

Hi Steph. Thanks for accepting my friend invitation. I'm hoping to spend more time on this site, but been too busy sticking it up the religious nutters on the social networking sites. I love it, because as you are aware, you can't win an argument based on a false premise. I'll post a couple of pictures on my page that were sent to me to convince me of the existence of God, so that I can repent, and maybe get out being cooked. You already know how irrational they are, but this will reinforce that notion. Cheers, John from Australia. PS. I should be more careful really. I'm already down under. Not far to go.
I censor myself a lot and sometimes I wonder if I am doing it too much. But I guess I have to ask what possible purpose it would serve to make much more pointed remarks. Sometimes I wish I could deliver an aptly placed Hitchslap.
School is going well. Wish the job search was going as well. I am excited about the next two weeks, though. A webinar, library gathering and a job fair. Hopefully something will come of it.
You need to get some sleep if you want to do your project well.
You have a great weekend, too! I'll be sewing all weekend finishing my Wicked Witch of the West costume. Who knew the old gal wore a corset? No wonder she was in a bad mood.
