I am familiar with them, that's one reason I commented on Austin seeming to be a hub of free thinkers in an unlikely place. Although I'm not that surprised, because when I still lived in the "great" Mormon theocracy that is Utah, I found that Salt Lake City had an underground free-thinker society that was quite well developed. I'm a big fan of the Atheist Experience, the Non-Prophets and Godless Bitches (they call themselves that!!!) As well as the individual atheist rockstar gunslingers Matt Dillahunty and AronRa, who are minor heroes to me. Your friendship and open-mindedness on my sadness at having to say goodbye to magick is really appreciated. Cheers, and as another atheist fave says, may god be less. (instead of god bless!)
Thanks Steph S., for your kindness. I was actually very jazzed to find Atheist Nexus, and eagerly plunged into everything, and then I saw this Ex-Wiccan sub-group and it made me sad. It was something I had mostly ignored since I've called myself an atheist. I have had some cognitive dissonance over the years, and then a couple of years ago I discovered Richard Dawkins, The Atheist Experience, and the snowball that is YouTube atheist pages. I couldn't be what I was before, although I'm keeping some of it, the stuff that doesn't set off the cog-diss alarms. It is nice to have someone to communicate about this with that isn't judgmental. One other question. What is it in the water in Austin that creates all you atheists? LOL. That city, inexplicably in the center of the bible-belt, seems to be the center of the atheist movement. Any ideas?
Oh! What a sweet LOLcat pic! I'm so out of it I haven't even visited Cheezburger today.
Thank you, and thanks for the "I Made You a Cookie" Munchkin cat, too. I have that LOL classic on a T-shirt...my fave. (I think I need a cookie. Or 6. A friend just sent me a dynamite recipe for sugar-free AND no-flour brownies! only 3 grams of carbs per 2-inch square! I MUST try it, but I need to buy a few items I don't ordinarily keep around the house, first.)
Ahhh. Little Pumpkin just hopped on my lap, and his "motor" is running nicely. I wish you could hear him, he rattles and buzzes like a kitten.
Purrs and headbonks,
Felaine

Hey Steph!!! =) I'm doing all right myself - just a lot of things going on around here.
Glad you subscribed to the podcast - last Saturday's show was the season finale (just so you know); it returns at a new day and time, 7 pm Mondays starting Jan. 23. The commentary continues for a few more weeks before it takes a year-end break.
Love the Looney Tunes icons you put on as well!! Lifelong fan of the Warner stable!!!
Hey Steph!! =) My Halloween was quiet - but still basking in the glow of another Cardinals' World Championship! That was quite the run, believe me - no one expected it. How was yours?

Hope your day is a good one, take care!! *HUGGGS*
Do you have a regular workout schedule with your bicycle? I enjoy running. It is good medicine. :)
What a splendid cup of coffee :)
Hi, Steph! I don't know if you can access the chat room with an iPhone as I know nothing about them. It couldn't hurt to give it a try, though.
I am almost finished. I graduate in December. Now if I could only find a job.
Steph, I summon you to the chat room!
