Thanks for the warm welcome. Glad to be here & to see some other ex-muslims. I'm one of the unfortunate ones to be born & married into very traditional, practicing families of muslims where its hard to even express any doubt, let alone hope to find & connect with people with similar beliefs.
hmmm..i'll have to check that out . i really hope it's not blocked here!
freaking authorities block anything anti islam..almost !mohahaha..
but so far all athiest sites are available and im SO hoping that won't change , atleast while im here .need my dose!
i'll drop you a line once i've checked out the site you mentioned.
I wrote on mateen majid's wall:

No, there's no group of that name; I meant "join the club!" in a general sense. Actually the group you probably want to join as a minimum is "Atheists who were Muslims"
Thanks for the invite and I'm impressed with your page. It is fantastic that we can chat with like-minded people around the world. I think it is the way forward for open-debate; a lethal practise for religious prejudice and ignorance.
It always makes me laugh when I get accused of being evil and a 'devil-worshipper' for being an atheist. Boy, are they missing the point;)
They cannot, or perhaps will not, see that atheists are accountable for their own actions. We do not have 'voices in our heads' or texts that we must follow. There is no dogma that we can fall back on as an excuse.
Accountability limits corruption and abuse which is why religious organisations want to avoid it at all costs. Why do you think the Pope demanded full immunity from the American charges over the cover-up of pedophile priests?
Murtad: Thanks for your great courage. I don't think we apostate Christians have any idea how difficult and even dangerous it is to leave Islam. My hat is off to you and all who seek to throw off the bonds of Islam.
You give everyone a very nice friendly welcome. Good man, shame there's no heaven for you to go to... :-) It seems you live, breathe, dream, atheistnexus.com :-) A very good use of your time. You say you were a declared atheist since the age of 6. That's pretty impressive I must say. Is that a record on here?
Ah. Yes, there's no heaven up there, so the best we can do is to create a little heaven here on Earth [as with Atheist Nexus] and leave a bit of it behind, perhaps as wise and learned writing, for when we pass away.
As for young atheists, I have read of several on A/N who have said they knew themselves to be atheist by the age of 5 or 6 or 7. Their realisation about this was sometimes linked to when they first heard there was no Santa Claus.
