No, no. While I always try to test the water before I dive in, I've been doing that for an extended period now. Mainly due to browser issues though. I thought I'd sent a friend request previously, but I guess the browser I was using then didn't cope with the submission.

My more recent activity is due to my getting a newer browser arrangement set up.

I have left a couple of comments on your blog pages in support of your end of the "intensive debate". Hope they help.

Count me in. I wouldn't put myself in the top 10, but if it gets me a trip to the mysterious 'down under', I can fake it. :)

It actually wasn't as expensive as I expected. Our flight from Sydney was about $1400, TAM registration cheaper for me as I'm a student, and I shared hotels with 2 others, so that also brings down the cost, and we spent another week after TAM in San Diego and LA. All up I's say it was about $3000 for our 2 weeks. Well worth it for sure!!! :)

Heya!! Yes, TAM was amazingly AWESOME!! Met so many great people, and saw so many fantastic lectures. I am counting down the days until next year. We met up with Martin Wagner from the Atheist Experience TV show, we spent loads of time with him! And we went to dinner with Martin and Thad, who you would have heard talking about us on the Non Prophets. Also, you recently blogged about my partner Alan who did the clip on the Faith Off for news.com :) I would certainly highly recommend going to the next TAM. There is nothing quite like chatting to PZ Myers till 2am, getting hugs from Phil Plait and going to dinner with the entire crew of the Skeptics Guide to the Universe.... Plus meeting the Amazing Randi himself about 5 times is indescribable... awww I miss it already! Thanks, and Cheers Rach

Will do, Sean. I'll need someone to point out the best places to snag the wombats and bandicoots. (!) ;) Your marsupials are in for a good manhandling!

Hey Sean - hardly the religious heartland where I live! There's not even a church nearby, though we do have a church conference centre nearby. We get to hear the kids fall out of their canoes into the lake every day screaming, "Holy crap!" Always gives us a giggle.

Summer,

I tried being a naked god, but the Police chased me. Apprarently religious freedom does not extend to me dancing naked in public :)
