Dang! That sucks the big one! Demand adequate pain relief. If your body id constantly fighting the stress of pain, it doesn't have enough energy to heal properly. Hoping you finally get rid of all this crap. Best.
Thanks. The pain I have does suck all of my energy out of me. All I can do is sit around or lay in bed. Hopefully the pain management doctor, or neurologist I've been refereed to will find the right medicinal cocktail. I talked with a friend today who said he watched a TV show on PBS called mysterious diagnosis where they said botox injections into the head works permanently. It isn't approved by the FDA so my insurance probably won't cover it, but I'm going to ask them about it and am willing to give it a try.
Chris
Thanks. Hopefully the Cerebral Spinal Fluid (CSF) leak is sealed now and that will stop my headaches. When I go back to the doctor for a refill on antibiotics, what I'm taking isn't working, I'm going to ask for a referral to a pain management specialist a frend recommended.
My mother's going into special education.
Mmhmm! She's in her late 40s now, and is still in a bit of wonderment that she's actually gone this far in higher education now, after such a long time out of high school.
You're set! You've got one of the few jobs not (yet) jolted by the economic crisis. But, then again, I do wonder how the loss of jobs, in general, will affect a health-care industry that relies on HBOs and other health-care plans.
Although I'm currently employed in the health care industry, I'm not a health care professional. I manage a team of talented computer networking techies. We're not the ones fixing your PCs. We're the ones to blame when ALL the PCs lose their Internet (or PhysiNet) connections. :-)
Yes, freedom of speech can be relative :-). I've decided to risk posting religious cartoons again . . . only this time, I've made a careful review of NiNG's terms of service. I'm sure it will be fine.
By the way, I see you're in Oklahoma City. I used to live in Lawton, OK, when I was a child. That was decades ago, though. I imagine Lawton (and OK City) has changed a lot since then.
hey you won the contest in randomness yay there is no prize but you do get the title and coming up contests people will be able to fight for it so yay keep it up
I was agnostic most of my life, and only decided to get off the fence when I read "The End of Faith by Sam Harris and the God Delusion.
I've also been out for the most part except at my last job where I worked with a bunch of religious zelots, and then I didn't really hide it, I just wasn't overt about it.
Oh - I'm not sure which link I was using for WWCG but here is one- nonbeliever former members Googling on ex-worldwide church of god brought up a number of sites.
I was fortunate that the random events of life didn't lead me further into their hands. When I look at the various web sites about how emotionally traumatized some former followers are, It makes me feel like that person who changed tickets for a different flight, only to find out that their original flight ended in tragedy. Another former WWCG member was on A|N for awhile, and quit because he felt a need for stronger support.
I hope that you came through it ok.
Hi Cassie,
Keeping warm in OK? I can imagine the winds blowing across the prairies. Brrr.
Im amazed that there is an Armstrong college there. It's kind of weird, but I waqs doing a search on WWCG that led me to a site on former members (I was never actually a member myself, just a dabbler), which led me to Atheist Nexus. Life is strange.
