Mark, if you're really going to the rally, let's hook up.  I'm going to be staying at the Marriott so I can attend the AA convention afterwards.  There are already a few committed SWiFT members going.  I want to have a meeting at the Jefferson Memorial the Friday before the rally and say the "real" Pledge and video tape it.  Hopefully you can make that.  Congratulations to you and Margie.

Thanks for the welcome, Mark.  I have yet to get to one of the monthly topic meetings, but I hope to soon.

That is so great to know!! My best friend was supposed to go to the show with me, but she had to cancel due to the time change. She was so mad that she misses it, so this would be the perfect gift for her for christmas! (plus I'll have to buy one for myself! That was seriously a good show!!)

Really good, Mark!

Someone once described being an atheist like being the only sober person in the car, but no one will give you the keys.  I sometimes feel that way.

Thanks for the information...I'll be seeking out your book to fill in the many gaps I have about the secular humanist movement.  (I'd certainly rather fill the gaps with rational explanations that the ALTERNATIVE.)  I'm familiar with the writings of Dawkins, Sagan, and Dennett.  I've also become a fan of Susan Jacoby's books.

Tell us about your book, Mark...I'm interested in your choice of title:  Redundant in the fact that we humans think or feel we need god but don't or have we replaced god with some other new, improved belief system? Like rationalism?  Like Reason?
