Welcome, Cheryl. I am also in recovery and have no problem with the god thing. In fact, in my home group more than half are agnostics so there is much support there. My higher power is my group and this amazing universe in which we live. I feel very spiritual in the presence of a beautiful sunset, a baby's smile, someone doing something kind for someone else, etc. I join in the serenity prayer and the lord's prayer and just substitute my beliefs. Hang in there.
