You might like Ben Goldacre's book Bad Pharma. Not an organic food person myself, but I'll go where the evidence leads if the hypothesis in question is operationally definable and the data incontrovertible. By the way, Mental Midgets Posing as Intellectual Giants would be a great name for a rock group. "If I have seen no further than others, it is because I have stood on the shoulders of midgets."

Damn Jeff...is that you? Far out! Yep...the more critical thinkers I find....the more critical thinkers I find...including a few who are unwilling or afraid, using their true identity, to speak out against religious dogma because of certain social or business ramifications. I don't spend much time here because some of the conversations amount to preaching to the choir and the amens are "you got that right"....meaning bor-ing.
But I have met a few really interesting folks and I am gratified that the tsunami of the Christian effort in the United States is finally subsiding...that there are those who are willing to speak out against the kind of thought process, the mind set, that leads to blind faith or blinded allegiance.
Or numbers are growing, I think, because of the realization that we have a fairly substantial base...numbers wise...one that gives a certain security to those who have stood in the closet with the door ajar...too insecure to step out unless greeted by others with open arms and support.
