Most of our TV is from the US so I know how they say things & how many words are different from the Canadian pronunciation. We do get the odd Aussie TV program here so I watch them as well when available. I've put a shortcut to your site on my desktop to go read whenever.
Xanthe, I am reading your website about your family. My personality trait is Introverted. So, I understand about wanting to be alone more than with other people. I also like to write to express myself as well. I also love science, and animals. : )
Thanks for the link. I did have a quick look the other day but will go to your site for more details. I'm Canadian so we do pronouce some things differently than the US as we lean to the more British. I'm thinking it's more like 'Azzburgurrz', or 'Azzburjurrz', & I'd like to pronounce things the right way, but have never heard it spoken.
Glad to meet you! No idea of Asberger's, but will look it up.....as I normally do since reading all sorts of things is what started my atheism many moons ago.
Hi, Xanthe. Sorry I took so long to respond, I'm not on A|N nearly as often as I used to be. Appreciate your mentioning you and your child with Asperger's, I have mild Asperger's syndrome myself, only recently diagnosed. Not knowing of my condition put definite strains on my last marriage, though by far the biggest chasm was that I was an atheist while my ex was seemingly on the verge of leaving her religion but then doubled-down and went deeper back into it; I of course could not follow her on that road, so I left, thankfully before any children came along.
Thanks for the invite. I did not create "Lord of the Rungs;" I saw it on the Cheezburger LOLcats site, and fell out of my chair laughing. (Especially since our not-too-bright pool service guy is a Moron Mormon, and I was imagining the look on his face if he ever saw it.)
BTW I think my 66 year-old sister has Asperger's, but there is no way on earth to get her diagnosed. She's also a Jhoover's Witless, and they don't believe in stuff like neuropsychiatry...afraid it might disabuse them of their religious fantasies I think. She was NOT raised in that "faith;" she chose it when she was in her early 20s...probably because it suited her. At least she knows better than to try to convert me...and it keeps her off the streets.

A cat lover! Cool Me too. I love your butterflies. Just beautiful.
Oh! I just made a quick visit to your web site, and I love the butterflies!
I'll go back and do some serious reading when my sister isn't in the room. (Mother left the house to both of us <shrug>)
