Cool, at least you're in one of the more urban parts of Texas. From what I've heard, Austin is the only truly liberal part of Texas, but the Dallas-Fort Worth area must be better than being in small-town Texas.
Ugh, yeah, it sucks when your family isn't in with the more urban, more liberal part of the city population. My family is all religious, too, except perhaps my father, who I suspect was an atheist. At least they're Catholics, though, who are the laziest sort of Christian, in America, except for a few freaks like Rick Santorum.
That's good that you have your father, at least. Has his family rejected him, as well, or is he firmly in the closet? What about your mother's side?
OK. I am venting. My mother died two weeks ago. She was a “god fearing christian.” Before her death she refused all medical treatment. She wanted to be left alone.
