I'll be looking through your site and your book, Jeffrey. More of us need to tell these personal stories. I'll be interested in any comments you may have on my book, Life After Faith.

Yes it would! If you google your name, his blog is the first hit. He's VERY conservative and obviously a bigot when it comes to gays. I thought "Wow, this guy wrote a book about becoming an atheist!" Then I realized he wasn't you! I can't wait to read your book. I love reading other people's experiences when they leave their "faith".

It's a great book Jeff, I highly recommend it. As you already know.

Hello Jeff! I'm also a writer (author of "Alpha, Omega" and "Deep Structure" - both on Amazon). Did you self-publish your book?

I see you have a fan, Mr. Jeffery :)
Putting your heart and time into informing others is very admirable no matter who apparently thinks you're Hitler's cousin.
Bravo.

I worked at pretty much all of them at one time or another. Kentwood and Wyoming on 28th street, Plainfield, Fulton, even Big Rapids for a while.

Many thanks for the welcome. I worked for Believe In Music from 1979 through 1987, and again from 1993 through 1998. I also worked at Vinyl Solution for a year, so perhaps our paths have crossed at some point.

Thanks for the welcome. Hopefully I'll meet a lot of people from PA that are atheists too!

I've never been religious, but my focus is much more on a humanist viewpoint, as it is a positive worldview. I don't object to people of moderate faith, so long as that faith makes no demands of me, and so long as it recognizes absolutely the separation of church and state. I don't know that we make much progress in making this a better world by being intolerant of others, unless it's to prevent harmful situations.

Do you think people like you and Dan Barker get a more sympathetic ear than people like Dawkins and Hitchens or, having dropped out, are you written off along with the rest of us?

Thanks! Don't know if you've checked out the podcast (some of my blog will reference it) I've just really started blogging and it's more as a companion piece.

I will do, I myself just started blogging over on the chariots of iron official site which just went online this week. I've got an amazon order I need to be making soon, I may just have to add one more book.
