Well, I guess all towns here in Texas have they're bigots, but Ennis is full of irrational christian homophobic racists, in which I really only can say they are this because of people I work with. You see, when I am in a social situation where I don't socialazie with anyone here outside of work. The only reason to hate people of color, jews and homo sexuals are the age old: "smells bad, extremely greedy, and threatens my marriage." usually used universally i might add.

That said, Ennis is a cool little Czech town with tons of quirky little restaurants and odds and ends shops, and Waxachachie which is just a slightly bigger version of ennis is right around the corner.. despite bigotry, this place is great!

haha Podunk indeed, were out here by ourselves, rednecks running about, and constantly criticizing blacks, jews, and homosexuals (i normally stay away from everyone socially here, i'm a bit of a hermit in fact, but at work this is the shit I usually hear all day everyday.) for no apparent reason on there then: "smelling funny" "being greedy" and "ruining the sanctity of marriage"

That said, Ennis is a cool little town lots of old shops and quirky places to eat, we have a railroad museum and were not far from Waxahachie, which is nothing more then a cooler version of ennis! I love these little Czech towns..

Close! i'm actually just settling down in Ennis.. I'm from the west coast originally, but I've lived out here for about a year.. other then being in the bible belt, i like it here.

Hi, thanks for the invitation! I'll consider it, but I'm not sure if that's a topic that really goes on often in my head. I'm more like: 'be yourself, know yourself' - if man or woman or something else, doesn't matter. Your mind defines what you are, not your sex. So a 'only for men' group doesn't make sense to me, since there are many women out there with typical so-called "male" attitude and behaviour.
