Thanks for the welcome! I'll finish my profile with a photo later.... have to report for jury duty tomorrow and must get psyched to "be nice". I'm not sure of their reaction to my refusing to "swear" on their Bible. Hopefully I'll be sent home and won't have to yell "OFF WITH THEIR HEADS".
This website is great! Thanks for the links to the artists.
Thanks for the welcome! I have a pretty supportive local community, but could definitely use the input of other atheist parents these days, as I'm discovering a whole new realm of challenges in my role as such. Looks like a good bunch of folks over here, with a wealth of knowledge and experience!
Yes, thank you for taking the time to read the link. According to several of the tests, me, husband, my dad and most of our closest friends fit this description. We tend to gravitate to our own kind, so to speak. I am interested in what your husband says in the new trend? I have never seen anything describe my "tribe" quite so well. Unfortunately, we don't mingle much! Hee hee...that was a joke. Talk to you soon, Suz
I thought about what you said your husband felt about the Myers Briggs all night...my only comment is if you can find me something that descibes us better...I am all for it. Here is a link that will make you laugh and give you a deep understanding of who I am. http://intjcentral.com/the-compleat-idiots-guide-to-the-intj/
If you can find something better...we will have a wonderful conversation!
Thank you for the links. I will try them out in the next few days. I am very happy to join this forum. Thank you for being so kind.
Ty. I am an exprienced nontheist and have been for most of my life. I have been kicked out of christianity (what a compliment considering the source), tried white magic, black arts, sorcery, Wicca, and since I am an Anthropologist, I consider that god is man made; not the other way around. After all, the one tree Adam and Eve were forbidden to eat the fruit of was the tree of knowledge. If one has knowledge, one wouldn't accept their bs.
