Both of my kitties were rescues. We got our first one (Whiskey) when he was almost not a kitten anymore, and we lived with roommates who had dogs. Then when my then fiance and I moved out, Whiskey would meow and walk around looking for something, which we figured meant he was lonely. That was when we got Vader, who is a jerk! :D haha I love him but he is so annoying. They keep each other company and are very sweet. I'll have to post a picture. :)

No worries! I am super-connected to email and internets because of work, but I slack at home ^_^ I would *love* to have the time and space to take care of foster kitties someday. Have fun and thanks for the welcome!

My kitty's older too. I feed her Royal Canin Persian 30, because she's long haired. And once a day she gets Fancy Feast too. Yeah, I've been brain dead plenty of times too. ;) I feel for you. I get cat withdrawal after only a few days.

Getting ready to leave home, where I've been cooped up by snow since last Thursday.  Curating a reading and may not be able to make it back home tonight. 3rd bad snowstorm since the 12th or 13th of December ... and I thought I was moving to a warmer climate.  The Ice Age Cometh!

I like ice shows very much, but it seems extremly difficult. They are not common here in Brazil, you can see only in tv.

You have nothing to be embarrassed about! You were in an environment that basically forced certain ideas upon you as fact, and that you felt you had to go along with it, is just a natural phenomenon. The fact that you have been able to shed these ideas, means you have asked yourself some serious questions and faced the facts that cannot be denied.
