Greetings, Keith! I'd like to invite you to a group where we talk about anything on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You look like an interesting and intense guy. Love the hair.
Hey, I just now saw what you wrote on my friend request---sorry about that, It happened to my AIM too, I have no freaking clue what did it, my virus scan turns up fine, I'm on an encrypted connection, It's not like I hand my password out and the passwords are actually -different- from one another, but it's the same "iq test" thing.
Thanks for the welcome! I've always wanted to be part of such an awesome club. :)
I guess I don't have as strong feelings as you do about whether or not people should believe in god(s). One way or the other, so long as they're happy and not trying to use it to bludgeon other folks or deprive them of rights. Unfortunately, it's the bludgeon-wielding folk who create most of the media ruckus.
I hear you about the cold weather. I'm afraid I'll be stuck on this cold island for awhile. Luckily, summer is about to begin. Soon. Waiting.
I'd be interested in your essays. I studied philosophers @ university, I enjoyed it, but I've not kept up much since then. Rusty. I watch a lot of debates online (youtube) and listen to some interesting video makers (Theramin Trees, The Atheist Experience and Qualia Soup come to mind) - that's really all the logic, philosophy, arguments for reason I'm exposed to of late. I'm not a mathematician but I enjoyed Russell's "Why I Am Not A Christian" many years ago. I don't remember much of the formal bits (arguments for god, terms, so on), so it'd be interesting to familiarise myself with it again through essays, et cetera. Do you plan to share them publicly? How, if so?
I plan on reading "The Moral Landscape" as soon as it comes in at my library wait list, and "The Greatest Show On Earth" which will be in later (big wait list).
Hi. That's a good, fine, varied and interesting profile. Try looking up my different one if you wish.
Welcome to this splendid site with its bright people like you who recognise religion for what it is---a giant fraud, and gods mere fictions inside the heads of unknowing believers.

"Happy Holidays is a good enough saying for anyone at Christmas time. I support the phrase "happy holidays" rather than the bullshit most Americans were taught. Let's go back in time to look at meanings here. "Holidays"…"

oh it doesn't.
Hi Keith in answer to your question I am interested in many areas of philosophy, but I am particularly interested in political philosophy.

Weird. And worrying.
