Ah, advocating human rights...really shined through! I was just getting ready to say more about me (since you are not a boring person), and that is a big one for me. I took part in the global write-a-thon and wrote letters to leaders all around the world in an effort to free prisoners of conscience (but of course you read all about that on my blog). I believe there is no god, and we are the ones who need to take care of each other, and fight for each other. Human rights is a passion of mine. And abolishing the death penalty, and closing Gitmo. I am a bleeding-heart liberal, what can I say?
I'm impressed that you think about the so what's of being atheist. I agree that it is on the rise. I think more and more people are thinking for themselves, instead of what others are imposing upon them. You're right about there being the notion of god for so long it just became sort of habitual in a sense. And, I'm anxious to see what the future holds. SO many things are changing!
And, I love Labyrinth! It was a toss up!
I promise to not watch the movie!
I didn't really think you were a taoist...it just didn't make sense. I appreciate how you express your views. It's clever, how you get one's mind going; provoking thought.
I don't tube. Maybe one day, but for now I will spare the people. I enjoy watching other's videos, especially the more brilliant ones.
I thought the crepe was hilarious as well. It really was Jesus, he does that...just appears on people's chips and such. He can be so silly.
Now, so there is no mental masturbation (I love that by the way)...I will talk about myself...let me think of something that won't bore you.
Top 5 movies...1. Life of Brian (for humour)
2. Alice in Wonderland (for a little bit of logic)
3. Shakespeare in Love (for love)
4. The Phantom of the Opera (for song and beauty)
5. the Lord of The Rings trilogy (counts as one!) (because there is one--a scary one-- I'm forgetting and this one (or 3) is next...)
Yea, I'm not too fond of those social networks either, myspace and facebook. Although I do have a facebook page to keep in touch with my brother, and cousins. I am evil!! I hate it though.
And I have no objection to your face (or half of your face) plastering my wall.
I really hate to disappoint you, but I have not read any of Adams works. I am familiar with Hitchhiker's Guide...but only vaguely. But, I will definitely read them. I have so many I want to read, or am reading and just dying to finish.
I've only been white water rafting twice, never bunjee jumping (and probably won't), and that is about the extent of my adventures. But I do have an adventurous side, I will try anything with friends. Alas, I am now a boring person studying computer information at an Abbey, and taking a sociology class entitled Death and Dying.
Now, with all of this said, I must admit I dislike talking about myself as I am really a boring and modest person.
So, what about you? Your being a taoist (which I would love to hear more about, because I'm guessing that's not really your first name, and if it is: awesome!) and geurilla ontologist, youtubing, and crepe making! :)
Wow, that's nice.
I'm actually quite a boring person, or maybe at the risk of taking up too much of your comment page, I'll skip a few letters.
I, sadly, have not seen True Blood. My brother loves it. I think I'm just more fascinated in the whole dark, sexy theme of the vampire world. I have not read the Sookie Stackhouse books, they are on my wish list. I, usually, am reading textbooks, or studying, or writing.
I'm not even sure I knew about the Douglas Adams group...hmmm.
I have not read any of the authors you mentioned. See, boring so far. Would you like me to continue?
I like to try new things, whether it be food, or death-defying adventures, or what have you. And, occasionally, I love to go for a Heineken at the pub...
Thank you so much for your comments.
I'm glad you enjoyed them. I think your blog is brilliant.
Yes! We are but small and insignificant beings in this vast universe. I do try to live a life with meaning. I prefer other lives to my own. I would die for what I believe in; and I believe in people, love, human rights, and freedom of everything. And yes, I am LESLEE LOVE! Thanks for the words of encouragement! You are awesome!
Could be induced. Hmm. I think stress and the smoking thing will probably play a bigger role though.
I have a blog as well, but like you, I spend more time here than there. It is devoted mainly to Amnesty International but has rants on it as well. I have another where I post poems and such.
Glad to have you as a friend as well!
Oh, and I think Obama will not make it full-term, as well. But, and may I be so bold as to make a prediction, I think he will die of a heart attack, Joe Biden will be assassinated...which is really sad. I like that you are so observant. Excellent quality.
