Don't know what's going on Loren, it shows up when I hit the ''add comment'' button so don't know what happens after that. I din't know I was having a problem until after I had left the page & then went back to it. This is all I was trying to say.....
The other way here. My daughter is the one who became brainwashed when she got married, but we accepted it because we felt it was none of our business about what she was led to believe. She was never a questioner to begin with so we actually weren't too surprised as to what she'd buy into. The subject stays closed & we get along fine as long as it stays that way. I absolutely will not get into this argument as I have better things to do with my time. We aren't close, but that's ok too, she made her choices.
It is the darndest thing, I do the Google search and use Google Alert, I come up with zilch! You send me the sites and I find all kinds of programs to watch. I guess Google isn't as good as I thought it was. Anyway, I am glad I didn't delete your mail when I tried to clean out my mailbox and I think I now have them all lined up to either watch, read, or listen to. I am in for a good time. Thanks
It makes good sense to write "Habemus papam" after learning more about Pope Francis. I have no doubt, even though he is a softer, kinder, gentler man than most, he still follows the principles of RCC. Every point you made is valid and needs to be said out loud.
Well, it seems the note I just sent you didn't go through ... a common event because I fail to push the "Add Comment" button." Damn!
Well, here goes again and it may be a repeat:
Good job on getting a response from Sherrod Brown. Now the job is to get it to come "before the Senate". What will that take? I'll write my senators. Especially with the lousy "austerity" bug going around, a more appropriate source of funding is to stop spending taxpayer money on military ministering for Jesus Christ.
Loren, I just found again your Dec. 25, comment with your recommended film that so outraged me, the officer lectured his troops to be paid missionaries for Jesus Christ. This was my comment to Facebook today:
Our young service men and women are "ripe as black bananas", Oh! So we hire these fine people to go a foreign land, risk life and limb, come home in a box, or crippled physically and mentally and for what purpose?
"It's great to be a government paid missionary for Jesus Christ!" Is that what their purpose is? Why did the group not stand up and walk out after hearing these first few words. Who are these people? Zombies? Ignorant? Gullible? Weak? Helpless? Sheep to be led into slaughter without even a beep?
I feel sick to my stomach.
U.S. Military being used as Government-Paid Missionaries

Actually what I have is a pair of the 808s from the mid 1980s... I saw them used and almost tore my pants trying to get my wallet out quickly. I'm on a bit more of a budget than you are, so I am driving them with NAD power amps, bridged; works out to 330 watts per channel. I have some lesser B&W model for the other channels in surround sound, but of course that's irrelevant to music.
About that time I did audition the KEFs and they seemed harsh. I would hope that they have improved since then.
