BTW: I studied Theology for a year and soon learned that it is actually anti-scientific, since Theology relies on confirmation bias, in that "If the conclusion of any study does not Confirm the Theological Scripture Base, the conclusion is Incorrect, never the Scripture." This is where Theology differs from philosophy, philosophy is like science, without inherent bias, where Theology must always consider it's basis (Scripture) as inerrant, since if the Scripture is shown to contain errors, the Theology is no longer valid and ceases to exist.
Though I question why anybody who is a non-theist would bother with Theology (the study of the mind of God). Philosophy would be a more logical choice since Theology is archaic and based on irrational, centuries old dogma, not rational scientific analysis in any form. If a person believes in Theology, they cannot be a non-theist. Because a belief in Theological concepts ( from the mind of God) then they would have to believe in that God.
