Hello Jeff!  I think you will find this the most liberating time of your life... I remember thinking often (after my realization that all I had been "taught" was nonsense)-- that I was almost "shook" by the realization that there was no "one" judging my every thought!... that there was no reason to invalidate my own thoughts!  Get books to read that help to put words to the feelings your having and give you facts and reason to help you articulate what you will want to be saying.  If you are interested, I could suggest some good books, etc., as can many on this website.  Good luck-- hang in there... real freedom is fabulous!

Hi Jeff, welcome to Atheist Nexus and TN Atheist.  I would think the weather alone in your part of Tennessee would be reason enough to forsake god. Also, what kind of god would make another man so resemble Donald Rumsfeld... or more accurately, make Rummy look so much like Jeff Foster? :)
