You might want to check out the free thought group that meets in Winston Salem. FACT is the name and they are on the MeetUp website.  The meetings are fun and they are a pretty active group.

Ouch.  Yeah, I feel your pain.  I've got lots of clients out in the Triad, so I'm around there all the time.  Being in the middle of the Triad is nowhere near as good as being in the middle of the Triangle.  The Triangle is much more centrally structured.  When the nearest urban center is Kernersville, you know you're in trouble.

The Triad group isn't nearly as active as any of the Triangle groups, too.
