Have a feeling that if anyone did a description of the get-a-way vehicle, it would have been a rust spotted pickup with one cylinder mis-firing, a baby bottle in the cab filled with sour formula, right next to the tin foil with methamphetamine residue, a torn and dirty "McCain/Palin" bumper sticker, and a fish decal with "Jesus" written in it on the tailgate.

Gotta advertise them good christian family values, ya know.

Doubtless, Brent, they think they're the hand of their deity, which means that they're always right and never wrong because they believe in their deity and follow his teachings to the letter, especially as it comes to dealing with apostates and unbelievers and anyone who doesn't agree with them.

I have to shake my head in wonder at this story.  The actions of the woman's attackers was nothing less than despicable, but the religious text which very likely inspired their actions is no less detestable.

The fact remains, there is no rational justification for any sanction against homosexuality.  Attempts to do so inevitably trace back to religion as a root basis, and no religion even offers a reason, rational or not, to condemn gays and Lesbians; they just condemn them.

We call such attacks, "hate crimes."  It's time to recognize where the hate is coming from.
