Why are they called 'Answers in Genesis

The AiG website is full of stuff like this http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/am/v8/n1/did-it-rain

It's all speculation, mostly fantastical (watery canopy surrounding the Earth? WTF?) . The article even says "We must recognize that such models are speculative, especially if they are based primarily on what is not stated, rather than what is."

So if the answers aren't actually in Genesis - or anywhere else in the Bible - why do they call their organization Answers in Genesis? Aren't they trading under false pretenses?

So ... they're attempting to extrapolate "facts" from a book which itself has damned few facts, and essentially NONE about how the earth was formed or the possible dynamics of a global flood (for which there isn't enough water on the whole damned planet!).

In other words, they're taking bullshit and making MORE bullshit out of it.

Perhaps so. I'm finding that the world at large seems to be a group of Christian and Bible apologists wanting to use anything that they can to clarify and explain ancient writings that just no longer hold up. They think you are stupid and just don't "get it" but their flawed information makes them laughable. Even the ones that no longer go to church become offended, angry, and may even want to fight you once they discover that you don't believe or no longer believe.

Because the majority of the people that believe the crap that AiG puts out have never read the bible.  They just believe what Ken Ham and his bunch of suicidal suppositories vomit out and Ham laughs all the way to the bank.
