I Am Pagan.
As a Pagan I celebrate life, the earth, and I honor the Divine in the form of a goddess and a god. I am what is called "Solitary Eclectic Pagan." I do not follow any one tradition. I work with different deities from different pantheons and from other pathes.
As a Pagan I have my own beliefs and my own ways, and I have my own path to follow. I know longer walk the path that someone else have walked.
As a Pagan I respect Nature. I believe in the Triple Goddess of the Moon in the form of; Maiden, Mother and Crone. I believe in the concept of Reincarnation and Karma. I believe upon my death that I will go to a state of reat and heeling before going into another life. I honor my deities outdoors. I honor the New Moon(Maiden), the Full Moon(Mother), and the Crone, the waning Moon. I also celebrate the eight Sabbats which marks the progression of the seasons.
As a Pagan I live in harmoney with the Earth and with Nature. I have no concept of sin, of sacrifice, of redemption, of confession, of the divinity of Jesus, of judgment, and of Heaven and Hell. I do not sacrifice animals or worship the Christian Satan, called the Devil, although I do honor Satan, but not the Christian Devil.
I am at peace. I feel the peace of the goddess and the god flowing through me. I am a part of the Whole of Nature. Planet Earth is my home. I came from Mother Earth, and I will one day return to Mother Earth, before going into another life.
The Earth is my Body.
The Water is my Blood.
The Air is my Breath.
The Fire is my Spirit.
I am made up of those four Elements.
I am a circle, within a circle, with no beginning and never an ending. I pledge not to do evil, but to cultivate good, peace and love. I am one with the Mother Goddess, with the Mother Earth, and with Mother Nature.
Within me, my inner most part of my being, there is a sacred place where no outer turnoil can intrude, where no feeling of doubt or failure can reside. Deep within my spirit is the peak of the Great Divine guarding and protecting my heart and my mind. Within myself, I am calm and collected.
Yes, I am Pagan. That is what I am.
So Mote It Be.

I have chosen what I want to believe. I no longer believe in the Christian God of the Christian Bible. I have chosen Pagan because I can believe and do what I want as long no one is harmed or nothing is destoryed. I have creared my own religion, my own god and goddess, my own belief system. I am me. I am no one else. There is no other like me. I came from Mother Earth, and I will return to Mother Earth after my life is through here. Yes!!! I am proud to be Pagan. So Mote It Be.

Carrol,
Thank you for sharing with us your view of the world.
Although I am truly atheist, not accepting any gods, and generally believing that the worship of gods is harmful, I do share your love for nature and the seasons as a metaphor for life. Nature is a great source of understanding, beauty, and awe. I'm glad that you have found your own philosophy of life.
I'm not sure that I would consider your point of view atheist, which to me means no beleive in any gods, but it's not up to me to define your terms. Even so, it is atheist at least in not beleiving in the monotheistic god of Yahweh, Allah, or "God".
Best wishes to you,
Daniel
