Voting Poles Held at Church Locations

So today I voted but I have to go through a church to do it. Don't you think we deserve a place that is secular to vote at?

So how can we change this? Do I need to vote with an absentee ballot?

I went to a community center, but right down the street is a church that was also used to vote at. It bothers me to no end.

Unfortunately my polling place was a church. I agree that voting locations should be secular.

Mine is at a firehouse...but going to a church to vote against everything churches believe in? In your face!

I've had the same experience, here in the great state of Texas! There are lots of churches that are used as polling places...I think they are the least-used facilities during the week, although when I went to vote early last Friday evening they were having a bake sale and a pumpkin patch event. My daughter voted today at an elementary school. I guess periodically during the day you could be surrounded by little people going to lunch, restroom, music class etc.

I hadn't given it much thought until now.
