I do not usually share dumb Facebook stuff, but this just killed me...Some of the worst music album covers that you will ever see and most of them are religious in nature. Try to brace yourself first...these are bad!

…I keep working the Shaggs into this, …bad album cover and all. Even commenting off-topic, one must always breath at least a little topic into their off-topic posts.

Speaking of on-topic, I actually knew two guys from the band "Orleans" on that list, and their original manager. They were actually a decent band, a little too mellow for my taste, but great harmonies. They're still going...
Comment by Tony Carroll on March 23, 2012 at 9:30pm Sorry, Suzi. We got a little off topic.
Comment by Tony Carroll on March 23, 2012 at 9:28pm What really got to me about Zappa at first, was the sheer musicianship. Time changes, runs 16th notes, 32nd notes, I could swear even more. His tongue firmly planted in cheek, but completely serious, what a dichotomy of a man, sheer brillance. And the lyrics. I can say, without equivocation, that he was one of the people that influenced me toward thinking like I do. Yeah, I miss him.
Comment by Richard ∑wald on March 23, 2012 at 9:14pm Knowing a little bit about his musical tastes, (…think Edgar Varese), I think FZ was probably quite serious when he said that. He had an ear for cacophony, his first TV appearance (way before any albums or the Mothers), was on the Steve Allan show in 1963 using a bicycle as a musical instrument. Also, Capt. Beefheart at times isn't that sonically far from the Shaggs.
Zappa called "Philosophy of the World" his 3rd favorite album.
Comment by Tony Carroll on March 23, 2012 at 8:32pm 'The crux of the biscuit is the apostrophe'. Yeah Suzi. I miss him too.
Comment by Suzi Rhae on March 23, 2012 at 8:28pm Yes Richard, Frank Zappa was known to mock others...sort of his style. Damn...I miss Zappa.
Comment by Richard ∑wald on March 23, 2012 at 8:22pm Ha ha! that's funny, Frank Zappa once said that the Shaggs were better than the Beatles.
Comment by Suzi Rhae on March 23, 2012 at 6:29pm This link might make your ears feel better. The lead singer is a friend of mine in Minnesota. The band was bigger than the Beatles in Germany at one time...Here are the Monks!
